MPs' Expenses and Allowances- Evidence

The Committee on Standards in Public Life published an Issues and Questions Paper on the 23rd April outlining the scope of the inquiry into MPs' Expenses and calling for written evidence from all interested parties and the general public.

The closing date for written submissions was Friday 5th June, however the Committee has continued to receive written submissions.

Over 700 submissions were received from individuals and organisations. Copies of all these submissions have been considered by the Committee. All submissions will be published, unless agreement to confidentiality based on reasonable grounds has been sought and granted, or the submission appears to the Committee to be defamatory.

The submissions received by the Committee are available to view here.
